Dive into a summer adventure that takes your creativity to the wild side at Ormond Memorial Art Museum’s highly anticipated Wildlife Week Summer Art Camp! Although currently at full enrollment, the waitlist is open, offering a sliver of hope for latecomers eager to explore the incredible world of Florida’s diverse ecosystems. Over the course of a week from July 15–19, young campers aged 6–11 will immerse themselves in nature-inspired activities, mastering the art of 2D and 3D creation. They will explore the depths of their imaginations while creating artwork that draws inspiration from Florida’s diverse aquatic and terrestrial habitats. They will even get a special visit from the furry and feathered friends of Lyonia Environmental Center. This unique experience is a conduit for children to explore, imagine, and create, awakening a deep-seated appreciation for nature and art within them.

From paints to clay and beyond, this art camp offers more than just an education in the arts; it’s a passport to adventure. Qualified instructors focusing on individual attention guide campers through each project, ensuring a rich learning experience. Campers are kindly reminded to bring their own snacks and drinks to fuel their creative endeavors each day of the camp. Concerning the details of securing a spot at this transformative experience, registration kicked off for OMAM members, with non-member registration opening shortly after, all pointing to a lesson in the benefits of early engagement. The camp, priced at $135 for members and $150 for non-members, offers a meaningful investment in a child’s summer education. Additionally, through the benevolence of a local artist, scholarship opportunities are available for families receiving SNAP benefits, ensuring that the camp is accessible to all. The museum’s policies underscore the necessity of early registration and the wisdom of securing your spot early, as demand is high and seating is incredibly limited. Always remember, creativity knows no bounds at Ormond’s Wildlife Art Camp!
